This week we had 33 new APIs added to our API directory including a business travel data service, web translation tool, geolocation service, UK government data service, digital goods marketplace and online billing service. Below is more details on each of these new APIs.
Bing TranslatorBing Translator API: The Microsoft Translator services can be used in web or client applications to perform language translation operations. The API can be used with either REST, SOAP or JavaScript protocol and responses are formatted in XML or JSON.
BlueFolderBlueFolder API: BlueFolder is a service management software for small/medium field service organizations to track work orders, scheduling, billing, equipment, contracts, employees, and more. The BlueFolder API is an interface that you can use to programmatically interact with your BlueFolder account. For example, you can add appointments, customers, comments and more.
The API is implemented using XML over HTTPS. The API is available to BlueFolder Premium Edition subscribers only.
CashboardCashboard API: Cashboard is a software program that helps you manage time and finances for your business. Key features include time tracking, expenses, invoicing, estimates, and online payments. The Cashboard API allows programmers to integrate Cashboard with other applications and data.
The API is currently in BETA. Documentation is subject to change without notice. During the BETA period, you can only obtain an API Key by contacting support or creating an account via the API.
Connection Software RingtoneConnection Software Ringtone API: Connection Software is a supplier of SMS and MMS services including text messaging, ringtones, graphics, Java applications, MMS and related software including J2ME. It provides an API that lets users upload a RTTTL or RTX ringtone string to the library. The API uses HTTP protocol.

It provides a suite of APIs for interacting with their SMS services. The APIs use both HTTP and SOAP protocol.
EnvatoEnvato API: Envato is a website that operates digital goods marketplaces and tutorial networks. The Envato Marketplace has an API which allows outside applications to access the marketplaces. The Envato Marketplace API means that developers can build applications to access the Envato marketplaces, and that they can access account information such as author sales or referrer earnings without the user needing to provide their username and password details. The API uses RESTful protocol and responses are formatted in JSON.
Euro WebEuro Web API: Euro Web is a company that offers web hosting services and dedicated servers. They provide a managed hosting solution administered from their own information system which allows advertising agencies to standardize their hosting customers. The SOAP API gives users access to the functionality of the platform. With the API users can:
Create / Delete / Edit VHost
Create / Modify / Remove mailboxes, auto-responders
Transfer a VHost
Create / Modify / Remove Databases
Create / Modify / Remove FTP Accounts

IndexTankIndexTank API: IndexTank is a realtime fulltext search engine as a service, hosted in the cloud. The IndexTank API defines methods to manage indexes (create and delete them), operate on them (add and delete documents, functions, etc), perform searches, etc. It uses HTTP protocol and responses are formatted in JSON.
KlipfolioKlipfolio API: Klipfolio produces an enterprise level KPI dashboard. Using Klipfolio, managers can broadcast messages to staff using the hosted service. Then staff instantly see the messages via their Klipfolio Dashboard on their computer. Klipfolio Dashboard makes much of its internal default logic and data structures available through an API. The API uses JavaScript protocol.
Linkbee.comLinkbee.com API: Linkbee.com is a service that allows users to create simple short links or cash links (cash links will have either an advertisement before the person clicking the link is taken to the target page, or the target page will display a banner advertisement). Users can also get statistics on their links.
Linkbee.com also provides a simple API for users, with the same functionality of the Linbee.com website; there are methods for creating short links, cash links, and viewing link statistics. Authentication is required only for creating cash links and viewing hits for each link. Authentication is not required for creating simple short links.
Mail MonitorMail Monitor API: Mail Monitor collects data to generate reports via email seeds. You can use the API to integrate reporting data, such as email campaign and delivery stats, in your own application. Mail Monitor allows you to get accurate delivery reports for your marketing emails, test your emails against spam filters, get valuable feedback, and improve inbox delivery.
MimeoMimeo API: Mimeo provides an online, on-demand document printing and distribution service.The Mimeo API lets developers integrate production and commerce capabilities with their applications and sites. With the API users can Add Users, Submit Files, Manage Create Documents, Place Orders, Make Payment and more. The API uses SOAP protocol and responses are formatted in XML.
NimbleNimble API: Nimble is a online relationship management product. With it users can connect all their contacts, calendars, communications and social conversations. Nimble’s API enables users to extend the Nimble platform functionality by deploying custom applications, creating widgets, and leverage Nimble’s data in external applications. The API lets users integrate their application with all aspects of Nimble, from the contacts page to messages and the stream. The API is currently in beta and documentation is not available.
NodesterNodester API: Nodester provides Node.js hosting, as platform-as-a-service. The platform is based on a RESTful API running in the cloud. The service supports Node.JS sandboxing of user apps, which according the the site lets users “install their own NPM modules using the Nodester APPNPM API.” Nodester uses Git to push updates.
OfficeDropOfficeDrop API: OfficeDrop is a web-based digital filing and document scanning service that helps small businesses manage paper and digital documents. OfficeDrop’s online digital filing system makes your paper and digital files text searchable, so you can quickly find a word, number or phrase among all of your documents. The API allows for searching of files and sharing of folders and files.
Postcode Anywhere Address ServicesPostcode Anywhere Address Services API: Postcode Anywhere is an ‘information-as-a-service’ provider offering over 250 separate web services covering a broad range of business efficiency tools for address and data capture, validation and cleansing to geo-coding, mapping, and route planning and optimization.
Postcode Anywhere provides address web services for both North American and International addresses. These services can be used to capture addresses, return addresses based on search parameters, list address details and more.
The APIs use a number of protocols including REST, SOAP and XML-RPC. Responses can be formatted in XML, JSON, CSV, HTML and PDF.
Postcode Anywhere Customer ProfilingPostcode Anywhere Customer Profiling API: Postcode Anywhere is an ‘information-as-a-service’ provider offering over 250 separate web services covering a broad range of business efficiency tools for address and data capture, validation and cleansing to geo-coding, mapping, and route planning and optimization.
The Customer Profiling API assigns classifications to contacts based on their postcode. It uses over 125 demographic statistics and 287 lifestyle variables from the ACORN database.
The API uses a number of protocols including REST, SOAP and XML-RPC. Responses can be formatted in XML, JSON, CSV, HTML and PDF.
Postcode Anywhere Distances and DirectionsPostcode Anywhere Distances and Directions API: Postcode Anywhere is an ‘information-as-a-service’ provider offering over 250 separate web services covering a broad range of business efficiency tools for address and data capture, validation and cleansing to geo-coding, mapping, and route planning and optimization.
The Distances and Directions API provides users with turn by turn directions, distance validation, trip data, emission measurement and more.

Postcode Anywhere Email ValidationPostcode Anywhere Email Validation API: Postcode Anywhere is an ‘information-as-a-service’ provider offering over 250 separate web services covering a broad range of business efficiency tools for address and data capture, validation and cleansing to geo-coding, mapping, and route planning and optimisation.
The Email validation API will validate email addresses at the point of capture. It will also verify the existence of an email address.
The API uses a number of protocols including REST, SOAP and XML-RPC. Responses can be formatted in XML, JSON, CSV, HTML and PDF.
Postcode Anywhere GeocodingPostcode Anywhere Geocoding API: Postcode Anywhere is an ‘information-as-a-service’ provider offering over 250 separate web services covering a broad range of business efficiency tools for address and data capture, validation and cleansing to geo-coding, mapping, and route planning and optimization.
The Geocoding API allows users to geocode UK addresses and postcodes and integrate them into their websites and applications as well as coordinates from around the world. Users can also retrieve the names of nearby places.
The API uses a number of protocols including REST, SOAP and XML-RPC. Responses can be formatted in XML, JSON, CSV, HTML and PDF.
Postcode Anywhere Government DataPostcode Anywhere Government Data API: Postcode Anywhere is an ‘information-as-a-service’ provider offering over 250 separate web services covering a broad range of business efficiency tools for address and data capture, validation and cleansing to geo-coding, mapping, and route planning and optimization.
The Government Data API combines Royal Mail Postzone data with a range of parliamentary demographics, including constituency information. It allows users to search across the whole of the UK to find out information across Local Authorities, wards, districts, counties and government office areas.

Postcode Anywhere MapsPostcode Anywhere Maps API: Postcode Anywhere is an ‘information-as-a-service’ provider offering over 250 separate web services covering a broad range of business efficiency tools for address and data capture, validation and cleansing to geo-coding, mapping, and route planning and optimization.
The Maps API lets developers create maps and integrate them into their applications and sites. It can also retrieve lists of postcodes and place names within a mapped area.
The API uses a number of protocols including REST, SOAP and XML-RPC. Responses can be formatted in XML, JSON, CSV, HTML and PDF.
Postcode Anywhere Payment ValidationPostcode Anywhere Payment Validation API: Postcode Anywhere is an ‘information-as-a-service’ provider offering over 250 separate web services covering a broad range of business efficiency tools for address and data capture, validation and cleansing to geo-coding, mapping, and route planning and optimization.
The Payment Validation API lets users conduct Bank and card validation as well as correct payments before they bounce. With the API, users can validate bank accounts, sort codes, credit card number and international bank account number.

Postcode Anywhere Route OptimisationPostcode Anywhere Route Optimisation API: Postcode Anywhere is an ‘information-as-a-service’ provider offering over 250 separate web services covering a broad range of business efficiency tools for address and data capture, validation and cleansing to geo-coding, mapping, and route planning and optimization.
The Route Optimisation allows users to optimise routes for multiple vehicles and drop-off points. It can return the directions between two or more points and pre validate route locations.
The API uses a number of protocols including REST, SOAP and XML-RPC. Responses can be formatted in XML, JSON, CSV, HTML and PDF.
Postcode Anywhere Store FinderPostcode Anywhere Store Finder API: Postcode Anywhere is an ‘information-as-a-service’ provider offering over 250 separate web services covering a broad range of business efficiency tools for address and data capture, validation and cleansing to geo-coding, mapping, and route planning and optimization.
The Store Finder API can be used to let developers provide customers with the location of the nearest store. The API geocodes the postcodes of all of a site owner’s stores, geocodes a site visitor’s location and presents a list of the nearest stores.

The Worldwide Business Data API allows businesses to understand their markets by providing access to more than 140 million business records. It covers key contact, financial and relationship information.

Recorded Future News AnalyticsRecorded Future News Analytics API: Recorded Future is a media analysis company and its Recorded Future News Analytics API lets developers perform analysis of events happening in real-time. Developers can build analytic applications to perform queries and receive results from the Recorded Future Temporal Analytics Engine across a many events, entities, and time points spanning from the far past into the future.
SkiddleSkiddle API: Skiddle.com is a whats on guide website that offers a ticket search and booking service for events, restaurants, hotels and more in the UK. The Events API lets users access events data and integrate it into their applications. Users can search events and venues. The API uses RESTful protocol and responses are formatted in JSON.
SmartlingSmartling API: Smartling is a provider of real-time, crowdsourced translations for Internet based businesses. It’s cloud-based software platform streamlines the localization of web & mobile applications through professional, crowdsourced or machine translation. The developer API enables an organization to specify exactly what content is translated, identify language-specific localization and design characteristics, and take advantage of many other custom features. Full documentation is not publicly available.
SnapBillSnapBill API: SnapBill is an automated billing system that allows users to sell their services online. SnapBill is ideal for businesses requiring a subscription or recurring billing system with payment collection facilities. The RESTful API is still in beta and documentation is not complete. It provides users with some of the functionality of the SnapBill service. Responses are formatted in XML, JSON, TXT or HTML.
TeamlyTeamly API: Teamly is a productivity tool that helps users focus on their top 5 priorities for the day, week and month. The API is in private beta and documentation is available by request. It uses RESTful protocol and responses are formatted in JSON.
Tinypay.meTinypay.me API: Tinypay.me is an e-commerce service that allows users to sell their products or services online by creating a quick listing. The listing is then shared with a user’s social network. The API enables developers to create their own e-commerce apps. The API will enable other users log in with their PayPal account, put items up for sale and receive payments – all from within the application. The API uses HTTP POST protocol and responses are formatted in XML.
trakt.tvtrakt.tv API: Trakt helps keep a record of what TV shows and movies a user is watching. Based on user favorites, trakt recommends additional shows and movies. The Trakt API lets users integrate the trakt service with their own applications. Users can view calendars, add movies to their library, rate show episodes, recommend movies and more. The API uses RESTful protocol and responses are formatted in JSON.
